I’m currently in Milan for Design Week and around every corner i’m just about blown away by the most incredible, unique and inventive creations, designs and ideas. However yesterday one installation really did stand out to me and according to social media, it garnered much attention from a lot of you too.
The Invisible Collection presents the Imagery World of Marc Ange’s Le Refuge, in collaboration with online magazine the Green Gallery.
Marc Ange said of the piece ‘Le Refuge is a place where one finds comfort and peace. It is the projection of a childhood memory. It’s large leaves form a shelter under the sun, away from reality, just like those of the imagery jungle that grows in the room of a child who seeks escape.’
For me it symbolised total happiness, a place you want to hide away and recharge for an afternoon. It immediately makes you want to be somewhere tropical and being in the bed itself is like a short break. The pink edition was on display in Milan but it is available to purchase in green and blue too.
And for those of you aren’t aware of The Invisible Collection, it is the digital home of the most esteemed names in French design and architecture. Anna Zaoui and Isabelle Dubern have created a place where you can purchase furniture, antiques, art and more that were previously unavailable or close on impossible to source.
