It’s London Design Week this week and there are so many exciting new launches, products, collaborations and pop-ups that I can’t wait to see! One that I’ve been looking forward to is the The Sofa and Chair Company pop-up. The luxury sofa and furniture specialists have teamed up with leading fabric houses Designers Guild, Jason D’Souza and Romo to re-imagine some of their classic pieces in the new Spring 2019 collections from the fabric houses. The pop-up is titled ‘Partners’ and is located at 320 Kings Road, Chelsea between 9-24th March.
‘Partners’ presents emerging interior design trends through seven different concepts demonstrated in room sets, the underlying thread through all of these is the interaction between colour and texture with colour ways such as green, mustard, pink and blue working alongside intricate textured weaves and abstract prints.
Key pieces on display will be the Parker chair, adorned with Jason D’Souza rich caramel fabric set against a Romo linen sheer curtain and the iconic Sofa & Chair Company love sofa has a smart new look in a sophisticated check from Romo which you will be able to see in the window display.

The bedroom features a calm palette of green and blue, with The Sofa & Chair Company luxurious Serra bed reworked in Porto pebble from Designer’s Guild and complemented by the classic Monroe wing back chair in Puccini moss from Jason D’Souza.

The piece of the collection for me has to be the Neptune drinks cabinet, and I think when you see it you will know why! The dark blue exterior is made from a lacquered shell with brass inlays in a celestial design and it’s mounted on brass feet. The interior is designed to hold everything you could need to make and display the perfect drink with multiple drawers, brass fronted shelves and a mirrored back.
There is also a dining room set and living room to see which includes many more gorgeous fabrics form these leading brands beautifully upholstered onto iconic Sofa and Chair Company furniture items.

This really does sound like an inspiring collaboration with lots to see and lovely to have the collaboration between furniture and fabrics, the fabric houses are all diverse and each offer something different so I can’t wait to see the furniture in person. I’m on my way to Chelsea first thing this morning to check it out for myself and suggest you do the same thing!
All the furniture pieces from the collection are for sale for the duration of the pop-up.
Thank you to The Sofa and Chair Company for sponsoring this post.
